Thankfully Thanksgiving can be packed with health!! Now there is something to be grateful for. Keep in mind it is important how to prepare these delicious meals: such as cooking over low heat, minimizing the cream or butter sauces and focusing on fresh fruit desserts. Now just sip on a little bubbly water and not as much champagne to let those antioxidant rich cranberries and vegetables do their work!

The traditional Thanksgiving meal has so many antioxidants and healthy foods, it's a shame Americans tend to only eat it on holidays, a U.S. dietitian said.
"Several foods we consume this time of year are actually good for you when prepared with minimal added fat, sugar and salt, and consumed in moderation," Stacey Snelling, a registered dietitian and associate dean at American University's School of Education, Teaching and Health, said in a statement.
