What is Naturopathic Medicine?
Naturopathic Medicine is a form of alternative medicine, using a wide range of treatments with a holistic approach. It focuses on wellness through promoting health and disease prevention by attempting to find the underlying cause of the patient’s condition, rather than patching it up with medications that only treat symptoms. Naturopathic doctors are trained as physical primary health care providers who diagnose, treat and manage patients with acute and chronic conditions, while addressing disease and dysfunction at the level of the mind, body and spirit. This is all to help facilitate the body’s natural ability to restore and maintain optimal health.
